SANFORD, Fla. (CNN/WESH) - Surveillance video captured a robbery at a Florida hotel. Police say the robber pointed a gun at an employee and her son.

In the video included with this report, you can see the hotel clerk and her son lock the front door of the hotel in Sanford.

Then a man smashes through the glass, pointing a gun at the woman and child.

Police say she followed the man's demands and gave him the cash in the register while the boy watched. They say the man even stepped on a school project the child was working on.

This happened about two weeks ago. Police are hopeful this video will help them make an arrest.
