Jan Shriver

Jan is our only source for weather information on the Northern Neck. She updates us frequently with wind and temperature data from Reedville, VA. She was born in Albany, New York, but her parents retired to Reedville in 1952. For several years Jan lived with her husband in Maryland, where he was a professor of entomology at the University of Maryland. They retired to Reedville in 1988, and she became a weather watcher soon after. She is currently a volunteer at the Fisherman's Museum in Reedville. She is also a guide at the Rice Hotel-Hewletts Tavern in Heathsville. She has one son who lives in North Carolina. She is pictured with her adorable cat Lucy.
