Don Aspinall

We could probably write a book about Don's life. Although he now resides in Toano, VA, he was born in Providence, RI. He quit school in 1947 to join the army. Don got his GED in 1949, and was discharged as an underage soldier. He enlisted in the air force the next day. He flew B-29's during the Korean War. He was even a POW for 9 days after his plane was shot down. He spent 2 years in Vietnam, and retired in 1970. He has a degree from the University of Maryland, and he is now working on his Master's degree in archaeology. He has even done some achaeological work in Colonial Williamsburg. In addition to sending weather reports to us, he also reports to the local newspaper.
