NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Wind speeds between 40 and 50 mph paired with rain caused tidal flooding in the Ocean View section of Norfolk Sunday night and into Monday morning.

Click here for the latest news on Hurricane Sandy.

Residents in the area braced for high tide Monday morning as waves crashed over the Ocean View pier and by noon, the beach was completely covered by water and the tide was all the way to the rocks.
