Midtown Tunnel to close for Sandy prep

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Elizabeth River Crossings will be temporarily closing the Midtown Tunnel for Hurricane Sandy preparations Saturday morning.
According to ERC, the tunnel will be shut down Saturday, Oct. 27 between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. for tide testing.
Drivers should use the Downtown Tunnel as an alternative route.
