NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WAVY) - N.C. 12, the highway that runs along the Outer Banks, reopened to traffic Saturday morning.
N.C. Department of Transportation cleared sand and water from the area's main artery Friday and early Saturday to allow residents and Labor Day holiday visitors to reach their destinations.
The road reopened at 7 a.m.
