It's been a tough year for pretty much anyone you ask. From the tanked economy to disasters like last week's nor'easter, more people in Hampton Roads are using area foodbanks. Unfortunately, the shelves are empty.
With Thanksgiving less than a week away, your help is needed NOW. This weekend it's the 13th Annual Mayflower Marathon Food Drive. Volunteers will be on hand around the clock helping stock local foodbank shelves. You don't even have to get out of your car to help get those shelves stocked and food on the tables to those who need it.
Sonja Morrell with FM99 and 106.9 the Fox and Loretta Jones with the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula tells us more. Find out what they had to say in the video posted to the left of this story.
