W&M's search for a mascot continues

William & Mary has been playing sports for years.
But, for the past 15, no Tribe team has been supported by an official mascot.
Soon, that will change.
The College took suggestions on Twitter, facebook, myspace, looking for a new mascot.
Some suggestions, stranger than others.
Strange as those sound, other colleges have stranger.
Like Keggy the Keg at Dartmouth.
However, that is an unofficial mascot.
Much like this guy was for William & Mary until 2005...unofficial.
So, in a few months, a panel will delibarate over 700 suggestoins and William & Mary will have a new official mascot.
Which could be more intimidating than fun.
The Phoenix is the mascot suggestion with the most momentum now
