July 2010 Shred-It event planned

PORTSMOUTH, Va - On July 24th, 10 On Your Side is once again fighting identity theft and hunger with another Shred-It event.

WAVY TV, Shred-It, area foodbanks, ARMA and BayPort Credit Union will be joining forces to host the July 24th shred event at BayPort locations in Grafton and Chesapeake.

The shred event will be held on July 24th from 11 a.m. - 2p.m. at the following locations:

Peninsula location:

BayPort Credit Union
5028 George Washington Hwy.
Grafton, VA 23692

Southside location:

BayPort Credit Union
2445 Old Taylor Rd.
Chesapeake, VA 23321

As always, the event is free and open to the public. We simply askfor participants to bring a non-perishable food donation for the area food banks in exchange for having your documents shredded.

A few things to keep in mind if you are attending the event:

* Please be sure to remove all metal binding before bringing your documents to the event.
* Please keep in mind that we prefer paper bags (versus plastic)
* We ask that you limit your documents to 3 boxes or 4 bags.
* Please only bring documents/paper material and make sure no trash is mixed in with your documents.
