HAMPTON ROADS, Va - Once again, 10 On Your Side viewers stepped up to the plate to fight identity theft and hunger.

On Saturday, May 16th, WAVY TV, Jackson Hewitt and Shred-It teamed up to host another Shred-It event and raise food for the local Foodbanks. The rain didn't keep people away as this weekend's events in Virginia Beach and Hampton proved to be some of our most successful events to date. The line started to form early in Virginia Beach and people were even showing up just to donate food. In Hampton the crowd was steady and kept the trucks busy throughout the day.

In all we raised over 3,000 lbs of food for the area foodbanks and we look forward to doing it again soon. Thank you to everyone that participated in Saturday's event.
