NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Lauren Hansen spoke with WAVY.com about the emergency repairs VDOT had to make to Interstate 264 due to dangerous potholes.
time for live road conditions.
The concrete on I-264 eastbound is "very old and needs constant maintenance" to keep it functioning for the motorists, said Hansen.
VDOT submitted a new contract in January for permanent concrete repairs on I-264 and expects it will be awarded in late February. Hansen said the project should begin in the Spring. Until then, VDOT says interstate maintenance crews will continue to apply temporary pothole patches.
