All lanes now open at HRBT

    HAMPTON, Va. - All lanes are open at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) after a fuel spill outside the tunnel shut down traffic early Wednesday morning.

    According to officials, the fuel spill is believed to be the result of a large truck striking and damaging a manhole cover. Upon striking the manhole cover the truck began to leak fuel inside the tunnel and onto the bridge exiting the tunnel.
