CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WAVY) - Beating the University of Richmond is one thing, but taking on a wounded Penn State team that is hungry for a win is another thing all together for University of Virginia head coach Mike London.
The Cavaliers host Penn State this weekend in Charlottesville and the Nittany Lions will not be looking past the Hoos. They will be looking to get a victory Coach Bill O'Brien desperately needs to get his team on track.
"This is going to be a tough environment to play in at in Charlottesville and we are trying to work on it everyday in practice," O'Brien said.
Even though Penn State has only six returning starters from last season and lost their opener to Ohio, Virginia needs a win like this as London hopes to move his team to the next level.
"I know Penn State there's a lot of prestige and tradition, but you know we are getting ready for a football game and we're playing a football team, not the prestige and tradition. Our main focus is playing a game an here," said London.
Virginia is a 10-point favorite to beat Penn State at home, with kickoff set for noon Saturday.
