NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University announced in a joint press conference Tuesday the original football agreement between the two schools that was supposed to last six years has now been changed to a two-year agreement.

The Monarchs will travel to Dick Price Stadium on Oct. 26, 2013. Then, ODU will host the Spartans at S.B. Ballard Stadium on Sept. 12, 2015.

"This agreement provides a great opportunity for our fans to take a short trip to go to a road game, ride the tide, and appreciate the great football we have here Hampton Roads," ODU Athletic Director Dr. Wood Selig said.

"I've been looking forward to seeing this games since we made the original agreement. This a win-win for fans, student-athletes and the Hampton Roads community," Norfolk State Athletic Director Marty Miller said.

The agreement was originally slated for a longer period of time until ODU moved to Conference USA.
