VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Cox High School brings home two state trophies. A state title in gymnastics and boys swimming. The Cox girls finished second six times, but this weekend at Salem High School, Cox is standing at the top of the podium in gymnastics. The Cox boys swim team finished second at state last year. The first place finish is a big accomplishment for Joe Gentry, their head coach, he's been battling prostate cancer for the last eight years.

After winning the eastern regional Ocean Lakes has 8 competing this weekend in the competition. Junior Dalton Henderson took home the state title in the 113 pound weight class. He took a first place ranking in his weight class into the tournament.  Ocean Lakes finished 6th in state.
