NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - After throwing for a Division I record of 730 yards and five touchdowns, Old Dominion University quarterback Taylor Heinicke is getting a lot of attention.
Heinicke is getting so much attention from the media, he actually held a press conference Monday afternoon at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex’s Football Team Room to talk about his big performance against New Hampshire.
Heinicke was 55-for-79, setting school records for both, and coming two completions short of the FCS record at Saturday's home game. David Klingler of Houston had the Division I record of 716 yards passing against Arizona State on Dec. 2, 1990.
WAVY.com was at the press conference and will have more on ODU and Heinicke’s performance tonight on WAVY News 10.
