NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Firefighters and police officers took to the ice Saturday to raise money for the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters .
The Norfolk Fire Department took on the Norfolk Police Department in a charity hockey game as part of "Guns and Hoses" night at Scope.
Even though it looked a little rough on the ice, it was all for a good cause.
"The main goal is to raise money for CHKD. We've all been affected in one way or another. One of the guys on our team, Adam Danforth, he's a Virginia Beach firefighter, his son is a cancer survivor who was treated at CHKD," said Glen Williams with Norfolk Fire and Rescue.
Fans got to see two games for the price of one. After the charity hockey game, fans got to stick around and watch the Admirals take on the Hershey Bears.
