NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - In a  rare Tuesday night home game, the Admirals took on the Adirondack Phantoms.

Norfolk tried to take over the eighth  final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Adirondack has the worst record in the Eastern Conference, but the Phantoms didn't look like it Tuesday. In the first period, Erick Gustafson went top shelf to put the Phantoms on the board, leaving very few chances for the Admirals.

Tye McGinn netted the Phantoms second goal to put the Adirondack up 2-0.  Phantoms added another goal as they stole one from the Admirals. The Phantoms won 4-1, but a rematch will be played Wednesday night at Scope.
