NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Old Dominion will wait to play Coastal Carolina next Saturday. The Monarchs enjoyed this Thanksgiving weekend with their families.

Coastal Carolina beat Bethune Cookman this afternoon 24-14.  Coastal Carolina lost four in a row midway through the season, but is now riding a six game win streak.

"We needed the rest this weekend," said Taylor Heinicke, after the Monarchs win over James Madison last Saturday.

Did ODU learn something after their last bye week? They were off the first week in October, but came out flat at home against Villanova. They ended up taking their only loss of the season.

"We'll be ready, this gives our guys a chance to rest their bodies and spend time with their families," said Head Coach Bobby Wilder.
