NORFOLK, Va. (wavy) - Old Dominion took first-place Northeastern to overtime Saturday at the Ted, but the Monarchs came up short in their upset bid, losing 79-74.

It was the second game for interim head coach Jim Corrigan who replaced Blaine Taylor who was fired on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, ODU's players and fans seem energized. Sportswrap's Brian Parsons was at the Ted on Saturday and he has this story.
