Charlottesville, Va. (AP) - Paul Robertson rushed for 180 yards and scored two touchdowns as L.C. Bird defeated Ocean Lakes 14-10 to win the Group AAA, Division 6 state championship Saturday.

L.C. Bird (14-0) built its 14-10 lead by the second quarter, then rode its defense in becoming the second Central Region team to win the Division 6 crown, following Thomas Dale in 2009.

Ocean Lakes got the ball on the Bird 39-yard line following an interception. But on fourth-and-1 with just over a minute to go, Brandon Simmons (107 rushing yards) was upended by Bird defensive back Brandon Walker just short of the first-down marker.

The Dolphins (14-1) scored on the first play of the game when Andre Dessenberg caught a lateral and threw a 77-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Wolters.
