CHICAGO AP) — The struggling Chicago Bulls host Philadelphia tonight at the United Center. They've dropped seven of their last 10 games and have been blown out by Denver, Miami and Oklahoma City. They've failed to score 70 points twice during the stretch. The 76ers are 22-33 and five-and-a-half games out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) — St. Louis Cardinals' right-hander Lance Lynn says he's happy with his first spring outing because he threw 20 of his 27 pitches for strikes. Lynn gave up two runs and four hits in two innings as the Cardinals beat the New York Mets 12-4. The Cards face the Marlins this afternoon.
MESA, Ariz. (AP) — Chicago Cubs' shortstop Starlin Castro is considered day-to-day after leaving the game with a tight hamstring in yesterday's 11-7 spring training loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Castro pulled up while running out a ground ball. He played all 162 games last season. The Cubs play Oakland today.
