ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — The Washington Capitals have re-signed goaltender Braden Holtby and defenseman John Erskine to two-year deals.

The 32-year-old Erskine's deal is worth $3.925 million — $1.925 million next season and $2 million in 2014-15. He would have been an unrestricted free agent this summer.
