MIAMI (AP) — The Miami Heat's winning streak is now 17. LeBron James had 25 points and 10 rebounds in the Heat's 102-93 win over Philadelphia and the Heat now own the 12th-longest win streak in NBA history.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Damian Lillard had 35 points and nine assists and the Portland Trail Blazers routed the San Antonio Spurs 136-106 to set a record for most points by an opponent at the AT&T Center. Tim Duncan had 18 points to lead the Spurs, who were playing their third straight game without All-Star point guard Tony Parker.
PHOENIX (AP) — The United States is in an early hole in the World Baseball Classic after losing 5-2 to Mexico last night. Adrian Gonzalez, the star first baseman for the L.A. Dodgers, homered and drove in three runs for Mexico.
DORAL, Fla. (AP)— Tiger Woods takes a two-shot lead into the weekend at the Cadillac Championship at the Blue Monster course at Doral. Woods is 13 under par after 36 holes, two shots better than Graeme McDowell and three ahead of Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker.
