If you're good enough at basketball, the sport can take you
places.
It's taken Norfolk's James McAdoo all the way to Argentina.
All this week, McAdoo will be playing for the U-S under 16
national team.
In fact, the team is playing in it's first game right now
against Brazil.
McAdoo is one of 12 players in the country who qualified for
the team.
Obviously, it's the best of the best.
McAdoo is considered on of the top players in the country.
Last season, UNC coach Roy Williams was at one of his games
at Norfolk Christian.
Clemson coach Oliver Purnell, also at that same game.
Tonight, we'll let you know how James did in his first
international game.
A great year got even better for Princess Anne's Elizabeth
Williams.
As a sophomore, Williams led the Lady Cavaliers to the triple
a state championship and recenlty was named to the USA womens U16
National team.
The 6 foot 3 inch center is one of 12 girls who make up the
national team.
Williams will represent the U.S. this august In Mexico City
against 7 other teams from South, Central American and the
Caribbean.
The top 3 finishing teams will qualify for the U17 World
championship next year in France.
Williams is considered one of the top players for the class
of 2011.
College's can't make verbal contact with her until September.
She'll have her choice of any school she wants...but for
right now...Williams just wants to improve her overall game.
