Hampton, Great Bridge boys advance

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Hampton Crabbers, behind a buzzer-beater by Jordan Baker, eliminated Landstown 50-49 in overtime to advance to the eastern region semifinals.

In the other boys quarterfinal, Marcus Evans had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for Great Bridge as the Wildcats rallied past Maury 54-52.

Great Bridge will play Hampton in the region semifinals this Sunday at Norfolk Scope at 4:00.

The winner advances to the state tournament which Hampton won last season. Great Bridge has not made the state playoffs since 1958.
