NORFOLK, VA (WAVY.com)---Norfolk's Town Point Park is getting a makeover, thanks to a public-private partnership beginning in October.
That's when the park will close for renovations and reopen next fourth of July weekend.
That's when Harborfest will be held to coincide with changes.
The $11-million dollar project will include a number of infrastructure improvements including new sidewalks, landscaping, restrooms, plus the band shell will move closer to Otter Berth. The park will also add fountains, new lighting and seating.
You too, can be a part of the changes with the purchase of special commemorations on park benches, bricks, markers and trees by contacting Norfolk Festevents.
