Roosevelt Strike Group deploys

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - The Norfolk-based Theodore Roosevelt Strike Group is heading to the Mediterranean in support of maritime security.

The Navy says the strike group will be joined by the Norfolk-based guided-missile cruiser Monterey and guided-missile destroyers Mason and Nitze.

Officials say the group also includes the fast combat support ship Supply from New Jersey, guided-missile destroyer The Sullivans from Florida and attack submarine Springfield from Connecticut.
