UNDATED, Va. - With so many cars and homes damaged in the storm, the next flood may be on insurance carriers.

The first thing you should do is call your agent and make any temporary repairs. Next, be sure to document your damage with a list and pictures. Hire a contractor you know and check their references. Finally, get a written contract and NEVER pay in full until the work is done.
