PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - WAVY.com put the Yoshi Blade to the test. And who better to test the Yoshi Blade than a professional chef himself, so we enlisted the help of Executive Master Chef Robert Cillizza of City Dock Restaurant in Norfolk.
The Yoshi Blade guarantees to be anything but dull. It even promises to cut Coke cans, but we didn't actually test that out, 'cuz really...who does that. So we moved onto limes instead. Cillizza says the knife cut the limes perfectly.
"I've worked with this before. I have it in my knife culinary kit and when it comes time to do a lot of chopping, a lot of cutting, I'll go to this....because it won't get dull," Cillizza said.
So the Yoshi Blade gets a good review, but what about the peeler?
"You know how tough a lime skin is....That will take it right down to where you want it. It's perfect, it's natural, it's comfortable and it rolls with the contour of whatever you're peeling."
So the answer to that burning question -- "Will It Work?"
According to Cillizza, yes. He told WAVY.com, "I'd recommend it to anybody, anybody. I mean, it works great."
The Yoshi Blade is $19.88 plus tax and can be bought at any store that sells " Made for TV " products.
