NORFOLK, Va. - Chopper 10 was over the scene of USNS Arctic following a crash that killed one service member and injured several others.

Capt. Cate Mueller of the U.S. Navy told WAVY.com the accident happened just before 8 p.m., 20 nautical miles off the coast of Fort Story in Virginia Beach.

Capt. Mueller tells us two Army helicopters were performing routine joint Army/Navy training exercises, when one of the choppers crashed onto the mast portion of the USNS Arctic -- a sealift command ship.

The Navy says the injured service members were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by the second chopper involved in the training.

The Navy closed the air space surrounding the ship, so the Chopper 10 video was taken five miles away.
