In recognition and honor of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., WAVY TV and KIDTALK sponsored the KIDTALK 2010 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest. Nearly 400 entries were received from public and private schools from Onley, Virginia to York County.
The theme for this year's contest was: Dr. King’s Dream and My Dreams. We asked students to address How the dream that Dr. King spoke of in his day relates to their dreams of today and tomorrow.
