PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - WAVY TV 10 has released version 2.0 of its free iPhone application, which has already reached thousands of users since the first version hit the App Store in June 2009.
Version 2.0 offers an enhanced user interface, more sharing options--through social media outlets, text messages and email--a "Report It" feature, and push notifications.
Report It allows users to take pictures and video and send them right to the WAVY Newsdesk through your personal email account. It also has a direct link to the Newsdesk phone number, if you see breaking news and want us to know.
News stories in the app are broken down into local, national and international stories. You can also get the latest weather and traffic information--and even track Super Doppler 10 and our Traffic Jam Cams --all in the palm of your hand!
The WAVY.com iPhone app, version 2.0 also allows users to view all the latest video posted to the website, local TV schedules, sports and entertainment news.
Settings allow you to turn on push notifications, activate landscape mode, and choose the font size while you read articles.
