BLACKSBURG, Va (WAVY) - Virginia Tech Police are asking students to keep alert after two suspects reportedly tried to abduct a woman on Henderson Lawn.

According to an alert issued by Virginia Tech, the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. as the woman was walking across Henderson Lawn from College Avenue toward Alumni Mall. The victim told police she was approached by two male suspects who grabbed her and tried to drag her to a pickup truck on Alumni Mall.

Police said the victim was able to escape her attackers and run toward College Avenue.

Both suspects are described as a Hispanic male of medium height and build between the ages of 25 and 35 with brown hair. One was wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

According to police, the suspects then left in a dark colored, regular cab pickup truck and turned south on Main Street. The last four digits of the license plate from an unknown state were said to be 3330.
