BEDFORD, Va. (AP) - A former high school administrator accused of killing his estranged wife is finally expected to go to trial.

Thirty-nine-year-old Wesley Earnest's case has been delayed four times, but now is scheduled to start Tuesday.

Earnest was charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in a felony after the death of Jocelyn Earnest of Forest on Dec. 19, 2007.

He was an assistant principal at Chesapeake's Great Bridge High School when he was arrested.

Jocelyn Earnest was a graduate of West Virginia University, where she was a four-year letter winner starting in 1989.

Prosecutor Wes Nance predicts public interest will make it tough to pick a jury from an 80-person pool of potential jurors.
