Tractor trailer tire kills driver

RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) - A tire flew off a tractor trailer Thursday morning and hit a car traveling in the other direction, killing the driver, State Police told WAVY.com.
The accident happened on I-64 just after 6 a.m., in an area called the Bryan Park interchange in Henrico County.
A State Police investigation revealed that the tractor trailer was going eastbound on the interstate when its right rear tire came off. It flew across all lanes of I-64 and hit a vehicle traveling westbound.
Police have identified the victim as 36-year-old Stephanie Bender, from Colonial Heights. She was driving a Ford minivan.
The crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
