Teacher pleads guilty to sex w/ student

Federal prosecutors say a former ROTC teacher in Maryland has pleaded guilty to traveling across state lines to have sex with a student in Virginia.

Forty-three-year-old Mark Allen Jackson of Alexandria entered the plea on Monday. He will be sentenced on Jan. 8.

According to court documents, Jackson was an ROTC instructor at Charles Herbert Flowers High School in Springdale, Md. He became the female student's ROTC instructor in August 2008 when she was 16.

According to a statement of facts, twice in December 2008 and once in January, Jackson picked the student up from her house in Maryland and drove her to his apartment in Virginia, where they had sex.
