CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WAVY) -

Fire Marshals and UVA officials are working to find out what started a fire at the university's indoor practice facility Monday.

According to Charlottesville Fire Battalion Chief Richard Jones, crews responded to the scene shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday to heavy black smoke coming from the roof of the building, which is close to a construction site.

Jones says the fire was under control shortly before 2 p.m. and the cause, as well as the damage estimate are currently under investigation.
