Man killed in Southampton County crash

SOUTHAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - A Franklin man was killed after his car flipped several times on Route 611 and he was ejected from the vehicle.
State police investigators say Alonza Bland Jarrett Jr. was traveling southbound on Route 611 in a 1993 Acura Legend when the car ran off the road overturned several times and Jarrett was ejected from the vehicle.
The 35-year-old Jarrett was killed on impact, according to a spokesperson for the Virginia State police.
Police say Jarrett was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor.
