RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A defense solutions company is planning to establish an operation in King and Queen County, creating 31 jobs over the next three years.

Gov. Bob McDonnell's office says Fulcrum Concepts will invest $4.6 million for the operation at the Middle Peninsula Regional Airport. It will provide aircraft integration of specialized weaponry and avionics as well as maintenance operations and tactical training.

The veteran-owned small business focuses on providing services to the Department of Defense and law enforcement.

McDonnell approved a grant of at least $100,000 from the Governor's Opportunity Fund for the project. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance also will provide funding and services to support the company's recruitment and training activities.
