WASHINGTON (AP) - Convicted D.C. sniper Lee Boyd Malvo is telling a television network he was sexually abused by John Allen Muhammad, his adult accomplice in the shootings that terrorized the Washington area.
Malvo's interview with Matt Lauer of NBC's "Today" show aired Thursday. The show posted some quotes from the interview early on its website.
Malvo also tells Lauer there are still unidentified victims from his shooting spree and that he contacted the families of some of those victims about two and a half years ago.
Muhammad was executed in 2009 and Malvo is serving a life sentence. The pair were linked to 27 shootings across the country, including 10 fatal attacks in the Washington area.
The shootings in the Washington area began ten years ago this October.
