LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - A Civil War-era warehouse in Lynchburg will be torn down after part of the structure collapsed.
Local historians say the building served as a hospital during the Civil War.
Lynchburg Fire Battalion Chief Paul Ginther tells the News & Advance that no one was injured when one of the four-story building's walls collapsed Monday night.
Owner Harold Gibson of Seneca, S.C., says his family will work with the city to determine a timetable for demolishing the building.
