Body found in James River identified

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Police have identified the body of a woman found in the James River.

Media outlets report Richmond police identified the victim as Ashley Nicole Wallace of Chesterfield County. She was in her mid-20s and had been swimming with friends.

City fire Lt. Shawn Jones says foul play isn't suspected. The death remains under investigation.

The body was recovered in 2 feet of water Monday night at the west end of Brown's Island.
