Bagel shop being given away for $100

BEDFORD, Va. (WSLS) - If you've ever wanted to own a business, here's your chance. According to WSLS , there's a bagel shop in Bedford, Virginia that's up for grabs and it could be yours for $100.

Blue Ridge Bagels is a thriving shop, but the owner also owns a contracting business that's been taking up more of his time.

He decided to let the bagel shop go and he's going to give it away.

"A lot of people are kind of shocked... $100 and they can own the business. Some people don't believe it and I have to explain it to them," said owner Michael Pizza.

Pizza is asking anyone interested to enter the contest by paying a $100 entry fee and submit a 300 word essay, answering why they would be the perfect owner of the shop.

The winner gets the restaurant, all the equipment, and $10,000 to help them get started.

The business is debt free and grosses about $150,000.
