Va man sentenced in estranged wife's slaying

HANOVER, Va. (AP) — A Hanover County man has been sentenced to two life terms plus eight years in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife and the wounding of her boyfriend.

Media outlets report 33-year-old Ryan Markham of Mechanicsville was sentenced Tuesday for his guilty plea last year to first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding and to gun charges.

Court records show Sabrina Markham was shot 11 times at her home last June. Her boyfriend, Blake Minter, was shot six times.
