RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Eleven nonprofit organizations are getting some free marketing help Virginia Commonwealth University students.
The sixth "CreateAthon onCampus" starts at 9 a.m. Thursday. More than 70 VCU students will spend 24 consecutive hours working with the organizations that have limited or no resources for advertising and marketing. The students will be supported by 30 mentors from agencies, corporations and professional organizations.
VCU says that since 2008, CreateAthon has provided 57 Richmond-area nonprofits with marketing assistance valued at more than $700,000.
