FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) — The University of Mary Washington has named a new provost.
The Fredericksburg school on Thursday named Jonathan Levin to serve as the school's chief academic officer. He will begin work on June 25.
Levin has served as the dean of the college of liberal arts for Drew University in New Jersey since 2008.
The Free Lance-Star reports (http://bit.ly/10Mah1L ) that Levin previously served as the dean of humanities at Purchase College in New York.
Ian Newbould has served as interim provost since last April after Jay Harper resigned after three years.
