MELFA, Va. (AP) — Virginia State Police are investigating weekend fires that damaged two vacant structures on the Eastern Shore.

State police tell media outlets that investigators haven't determined whether the fires are linked to a string of about 50 arsons in Accomack County since mid-November. No injuries have been reported.

The latest fires occurred Saturday night in Wachapreague and Sunday night in Melfa. Investigators haven't determined whether either fire was deliberately set.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the arsons.
