NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Passenger traffic at Norfolk International Airport dropped more than 6 percent in February, compared to the same period in 2012.

Airport authority executive director Wayne Shank attributes the decline to weather in the Northeast and one less day of travel. Last year was a leap year.

February passenger traffic totaled 191,260.

Cargo traffic fell 3.3 percent to about 4.9 million pounds.

The Virginian-Pilot (http://bit.ly/147RXEM ) reports that the airport authority released the figures Tuesday.
