BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) — A statewide moment of silence will be observed on April 16 to honor the 32 people killed in a rampage at Virginia Tech in 2007.

It's part of Virginia Tech's 2013 Day of Remembrance events.

There also will be a ceremonial candle lighting at the April 16 Memorial on the Blacksburg campus.

The fifth annual Run in Remembrance will be held April 13. The 3.2-mile run will begin on the Drillfield near War Memorial Gym and end on or near the April 16 Memorial.
